In 2025, Heike Berl was selected by Neuer Sächsischer Kunstverein for a solo life painting event at the ‘Dresden Palaissommer Piano Night’. The artist drew and painted pianists, dancers and diverse musicians from life pleinair. The ‘Piano Night’ was enriched by lyrical readings – recited by Liane Rohayem-Fischer from the Dresden Frauenkirche Foundation. In 2026, the artwork WOMEN READING AT THE PIAMO was finished in the studio to commemorate the Art Connects Women theme ‘Educate to Empower’. The book was created with coloured paper pulp, and the piano and background with a collage of handmade papers. The artwork was selected for ACW 2026 and will be on view at ZeeArts Gallery under UNESCO patronage in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
